Our Philosophy

The patient eye.
The decisive strike.

The falcon does not chase. It waits. It watches. And when the moment reveals itself — clean, unambiguous, its own — it commits with total conviction. This is the disposition we bring to capital.

Falcon Ridge is built for investors who prefer depth over breadth, conviction over consensus, and patience over performance theater. We underwrite each investment with a long horizon, a clear thesis, and alignment with the operators who execute it.

  • 01

    Conviction over diversification

Concentrated positions in opportunities we understand deeply, sized to matter when we are right.

  • 02

    Operator alignment

We partner with founders and management teams whose capital, time, and reputation sit beside ours in every deal.

  • 03

    Long-horizon capital

Our structures are designed to hold through cycles — not forced exits, but earned outcomes.

  • 04

    Discipline at the margin

The hardest decision in investing is the one not to act. We are comfortable waiting.

Investment Strategies

Three strategies.
One discipline.

Falcon Ridge deploys capital through three dedicated strategies, each led by partners with direct operating experience in the sector.

Falcon Ridge
Real Estate

Income-producing and value-add real estate with durable cash flow, strong operator partnerships, and asymmetric downside protection. Core focus on multifamily, industrial, and select opportunistic assets in supply-constrained markets.

  • Focus Multifamily · Industrial · Opportunistic
  • Horizon 5–10 years
  • Structure Closed-end fund, GP co-invest
II

  • Horizon 7–12 years
  • Structure Growth equity, selective infrastructure
III

  • Focus Services · Niche industrial · Specialty
  • Horizon Indefinite hold
  • Structure Buy-and-hold, operator-led

Leadership

Partners who
carry the risk.

Falcon Ridge is a partner-led firm. The individuals responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and stewarding each investment have their own capital, careers, and reputations committed alongside yours.

Carter W.

Founder · Managing Partner & Chief Investment Officer

Carter founded Falcon Ridge Capital Management to apply the discipline of long-horizon investing across three conviction sectors: real estate, the artificial intelligence frontier, and the acquisition of durable small businesses. He leads firm strategy, capital allocation, and investor relationships, and chairs the investment committee for each fund.

A lifelong student of falconry, Carter draws on its first principle — patience precedes precision — as the animating philosophy of the firm. He lives in the American West with his family and a long-standing interest in the high country where gyrfalcons hunt.

Jonathan Bench

Partner · Legal & Transaction Counsel

Jonathan is an international M&A and technology attorney at Kirton McConkie in Salt Lake City, Utah. He advises operating companies, investment funds, and family offices on cross-border transactions, fund formation, and the corporate structures that sit beneath them.

At Falcon Ridge, Jonathan serves as transaction counsel and sits on the investment committee. He brings fifteen years of experience in acquisitions, joint ventures, and the regulatory frameworks that govern private capital — and the judgment to know when a deal is worth doing and when patience is the better trade.

Investor Relations

Aligned with
those we serve.

Falcon Ridge accepts capital from a select group of qualified institutional investors, family offices, endowments, and foundations who share our long-horizon orientation. We treat every relationship as a long-term partnership.

  • Reporting

Quarterly investor letters with substantive commentary on performance, market views, and portfolio progress — written by the partners, not the marketing team.

  • Communication

Direct partner access. Capital calls, distributions, and material developments communicated promptly and clearly.

  • Alignment

Meaningful GP commitment in every fund. We invest beside our limited partners, on the same terms, with the same time horizon.

Investor Eligibility

Domestic and
international structures.

Falcon Ridge accommodates qualified investors located inside and outside the United States through parallel investment vehicles structured for the requirements of each constituency.

Eligibility

Interests are offered to "accredited investors" as defined under Rule 501 of Regulation D of the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and where applicable to "qualified purchasers" as defined under Section 2(a)(51) of the Investment Company Act of 1940. Individuals generally qualify with $1 million or more in net worth (excluding primary residence) or $200,000 in annual income ($300,000 jointly with spouse).

Subscription Vehicle

Subscription is made through a Delaware-domiciled limited partnership. Admission requires a completed subscription agreement, accredited-investor questionnaire, and customary know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering documentation.

Tax & Reporting

Federal tax reporting is delivered annually via IRS Schedule K-1. Investors are responsible for state and local tax consequences arising from underlying portfolio investments and may receive composite filings where applicable.

Minimum Commitment

Customary minimums apply per fund and are disclosed in the relevant private placement memorandum. The general partner retains discretion to accept smaller commitments from strategic relationships.
